Apply for the CSE Inclusion Project implementation teams

The College of Science and Engineering Inclusion Project is identifying opportunities for the growth of inclusivity throughout the college. Postdocs and graduate students are invited to nominate someone (or self-nominate) to join one of three implementation teams working on action plans to demystify processes used to make decisions that affect them.

Attend the CSE Three-Minute Thesis competition on Monday, Oct. 23

Watch your colleagues show off their research ideas and learn about other research happening at the University at the CSE Three-Minute Thesis (3MT) competition on Monday, Oct. 23. The competition features presentations from across the college. Collegiate-level winners advance to the University-wide competition in November. Guests may attend in person or watch via Zoom. Registration is required.

Reminder: The Ford Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship Program application deadline is Tuesday, Dec. 12

Postdoctoral scholars who received their Ph.D. between Dec. 8, 2015 and Dec. 8, 2022, may be eligible to apply for a Ford Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship for the 2024-25 academic year. Fellowships provide one year of support for individuals engaged in full-time, postdoctoral research at an appropriate nonprofit institution of higher education or research in the U.S. Those from traditionally underrepresented groups and/or have a strong history of working with or advocating for persons from such groups are especially encouraged to apply. The application deadline is Tuesday, Dec. 12.

Save the date: 2024 master's and doctoral degree student commencement is Friday, April 26

The Arts, Sciences, and Engineering (ASE) Graduate Student Commencement Ceremony is open to master's and Ph.D. students in the College of Science and Engineering and the College of Liberal Arts. The 2024 ceremony is Friday, April 26, 2 p.m. Registration opens in February.

The Disability Resource Center (DRC) values disability as part of human diversity. The DRC works with students across undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs to gain equitable access to campus life through accommodations, resources, and strategies. The DRC works with a wide range of students who hold various disability identities, including less apparent disabilities such as chronic illness and mental health.
