Apply for a science policy fellowship!
Opportunities are available for the 2023 American Academy of Arts and Sciences’ Science (AAAS) and Technology Policy Fellowship Program. The AAAS program provides opportunities for outstanding scientists and engineers to learn firsthand about policymaking and contribute their knowledge and analytical skills in science policy or science in public policy.
AAAS places more than 250 fellows each year to learn first-hand about policymaking and use their knowledge and skills to address today’s most pressing societal challenges. Fellows serve yearlong assignments in the federal government and represent a broad range of backgrounds, disciplines, and career stages.
Fellowship recipients can expect to:
- gain hands-on policy experience in a challenging assignment
- develop new skill≤
- experience life in the nation's capital
- expand career options
- become a member of an influential network of fellows
Eligibility:
Applicants must:
- hold a doctoral-level degree in a qualified discipline or a master's degree in engineering and have three years of professional engineering experience
- be eligible to receive federal government funds through the System of Award Management (SAM)
- be in compliance with the U.S. Selective Service System requirements
- be a U.S. citizen (dual citizenship is acceptable)
The application deadline is Wednesday, Nov. 1.
